This upcoming Chinese New Year will see the return of Google Pay’s popular social game, Huat Pals, after its successful run last year. Huat Pals starts today and will run till Feb 15.
The game mechanics remain the the same. You need to help the main character Tiggy (for it is the Year of the Tiger) find and reunite with his Huat Pals or five unique characters that include fan favourite BB Loh and Mala.
Once reunited, you will win a grand hamper containing an angpow worth up to $88.88 and an exclusive voucher from the likes of FairPrice Online, Flash Coffee, foodpanda and Shopee. You can collect these Huat Pals each time you complete the following actions on Google Pay for up to a maximum of five times a day.
These actions including making eligible transactions of more than S$5 to merchants daily on Google Pay, referring new users to Google Pay who make their first qualifying payment of S$10 and above, or gifting Huat Pals to friends. Eligible transactions include Tap & Pay (with an Android device), Scan and Pay (via FavePay QR, PayNow SGQR, or a UEN), buy movie tickets or order food via the Google Pay app.
In addition, you can score bonus Huat Pals when you make five FavePay or five PayNow transaction, make the first Tap & Pay transaction of S$5 and more, or make a dine-in order on Google Pay app (coming soon to the game) with participating restaurants. These F&B outlets include 4Fingers Crispy Chicken, Ajumma’s, Marutama Ramen, Angelina Paris, Group Therapy Coffee, Orange & Teal and The Brewing Ground.
If you want win more vouchers, you can do so by sharing Gift Baskets you received when you find the Huat Pals. Once shared with your friends or family, you get to collect a random gift that ranges from vouchers to cashback scratch cards.
