The Xiaomi 11T Pro is a flagship Android smartphone with a mid-range price tag of S$799, despite featuring Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 5G chip and a 120Hz AMOLED display with Dolby Vision support.
It is also Xiaomi’s first smartphone launched globally with the Chinese tech giant’s proprietary 120W Xiaomi HyperCharge technology.
This technology is said to be able to charge the 11T Pro from zero to full in just 17 minutes. And it is why the 11T Pro comes with a massive 120W power adapter when some of its competitors do not even come with one. And it comes with a screen protector already applied and a transparent silicone case.
PRICE: $799, available in Lazada and Shopee

Design wise, the 11T Pro looks very similar to the Mi 11 series, especially the Mi 11i. Available in white, blue and grey (version reviewed), the 11T Pro feature a rear with curved sides, a rather large camera module and a metallic-like finish.
Or at least it looks like it is some aluminium finish. But when you touch it, it is actually a very glossy glass surface that is a fingerprint and smudge magnet. However, it does look good and you can avoid the smudges with the silicone case.
In front, you will find the 11T Pro’s 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED flat display surrounded by rather thin bezels. The display is said to have a 480Hz touch sampling rate and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The smartphone allows you to choose between a static 60Hz and an adaptive 120Hz. If 120Hz is selected, the display will automatically switch from 60Hz to 120Hz depending on the content being displayed.
This display is supposed to support over 1 billion colours and boasts 1,000nits of peak brightness. The specifications do not lie when you look at the display. It looks absolutely gorgeous with vivid colour reproduction. Any content, whether moving or still, displayed looks good and the colours will just “pop”.
Only the right side of the 11T Pro houses the volume rocker and the power button, which doubles up as the fingerprint sensor. So, it is more suitable to be used on your right hand.
Not to mention, the overall build of the smartphone is pretty good and gives you plenty of confidence when you hold it on your hand. Despite its large size, I can actually handle it with one hand without any issues.
Plus, the smartphone is rated at IP53 for dust and water resistance. In other words, it probably can survive some water splashes but not being submerged in water.
Despite having Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 888 5G chip, its GeekBench 5 benchmark test results are slightly underwhelming.
It has a single-core score of 810 and a multi-core score of 3,331. By comparison, the Oppo Find X3 Pro with the same chip scored 934 (single) and 3,411 (multi-core).
+ Great build
+ Gorgeous 120Hz display
+ Responsive performance
+ Good value for money
– Glossy rear is fingerprint and smudge magnet
– The much-touted cinematic modes difficult to execute
– Still images look too vivid at times
That said, I have yet to find any apps to slow or un-responsive on 11T Pro. Playing games, such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, or starting apps are always swift and seamless.
Aided by the superb display, browsing websites or scrolling through social media are as smooth as it can get. Unlocking the smartphone using the power button is also almost instantaneous.
The 11T Pro has a 16-megapixel (MP) front-facing punch-hole camera with a rear triple-camera system comprising a 5MP telephoto macro (2x optical zoom) camera, a 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 108MP main wide-angle camera.
In addition, it comes with a plethora of cinematic video modes that allow you to shoot like a professional videographer according to Xiaomi. These features include Magic Zoom, Time Freeze and Parallel World.
Magic zoom is essentially a movie effect whereby the subject remains almost static but the background is moving. You usually need a dolly and zoom lens to achieve this. But while this might be a good-to-have, the Magic Zoom feature requires a fairly long distance to execute. And at times, you can’t see the effect at all. Time freeze is essentially freezing time in one part of the video while the others part continue moving. This effect is probably the most difficult to execute. You have to trial and error a lot before you can get the desired effect.
Parallel world is a horizontal mirroring effect. It is the most easy to execute among the cinematic effects available. Just point the camera to a nice landscape and it will do all the work. Plus, the results are spectacular.
In terms of still images, the photos taken are sharp but really vivid and contrasty. However, it might be a bit too over-saturated that the photos look fake sometimes. But that also means you do not need to spend time doing post-processing.
The night mode shots are decent. But they are not as good as the competition like you get from the iPhone 12 or 13. Overall, the still images are good but not fantastic.
In terms of battery life, the 11T Pro is superb. Probably one of the best in the market doing splendidly in our usual video-loop battery test with a timing of 14 hours 21 minutes with the 120Hz adaptive display. This is by far the best battery life we have seen in our reviews.
For normal usage, I did not see the need to charge until the end of my second day using the 11T Pro. However, you do not need to worry even if you forget to charge the 11T Pro and the smartphone goes flat.
As long as the included power adapter and USB-C cable are used, the 11T Pro can be charged from zero to full in 20 minutes in my tests. It looks like the HyperCharge technology really works.
While it might be a few more minutes than advertised, it is still more than enough time for you to brush your teeth, sip a cup of coffee and eat breakfast before you can use the smartphone again or head out for work.
The Xiaomi 11T Pro is an affordable flagship mid-range smartphone with super long battery life that will cater to all your productivity and entertainment needs.
